I shall not waste my days trying to prolong them. Exactly this was a fantastic summary of my point. Immediate subscribed thank you for this valuable input
This was a great read and interesting perspective. Yes, health is important and being aware how behaviors, diet, etc. can have an effect is helpful. I think the key is not to obsess on bio-hacking, there's a bio-hack that may be the one to "rule them all." Bon chance mon amis!
Merci beaucoup! Do you speak French? I’m actually trying to re learn would you have any recs on what I should focus on, I acc posted a note about it. Anyway, thank you for reading and yes 100% agree :)
This is an interesting perspective. I definitely agree that companies are monetizing on the recent popularity of “healthy living” just like all other fads that came before this one. Thanks for sharing!
Completely agree with everything you said, and I would also add that the very idea of calling the practice of self-improvement "bio hacking" is already dystopian enough and tells me everything I need to know about the people who do it: it's not about actually becoming a better, more fullfilled (and interesting) person, it's about proving to others that you can work as a machine.
All I can say is this (from Jack London over 100 years ago):
"I do not live for what the world thinks of me,
but for what I think of myself.
I would rather be ashes than dust! I would rather that my spark should burn out in a brilliant blaze than it should be stifled by dry-rot.
The function of man is to live, not to exist.
I shall not waste my days trying to prolong them.
I shall use my time."

(we take 'man' here in its wider form - to encompass each individual of our species)
